Icarus

Gaze at the stars
As they tempt the life from you
Beckon your soul to the grave afar
Lie to yourself
As they rip apart at you
Sever the seams of a crippled heart

Think not what you see on the horizon
You'll need more to make it through
Though the world may offer you guidance
All you truly need is you

And still, you don't know the answers

Where will you go?
What does your heart carry?
Just take it slow
I promise you will be there
You're taking in too much air

Bleed out your heart
As they nurse the love from you
Carry all the pain of someone else
Oh how I hope
As these memories cling to you
You'll exude love and leave some for yourself

I know you feel called out to elsewhere
But I promise you're needed here
You hope you'll find something better out there
And leave behind all you fear

But we'll still, be left unanswered

Where will you go?
What does your heart carry?
Just take it slow
I promise you will be there
You're taking in too much air

You'll never soar if you don't wake up and see
You're worth more than just being a ghost
The only way to set the both of us free
Is to know that you matter the most

Save yourself
Save us all
Save yourself
Save us all

Where will you go?
(Save yourself)
What does your heart carry?
(Save us all)
Just take it slow
(Save yourself)
I promise you will be there
(Save us all)
You're taking in too much air

Save yourself
Save us all
Save yourself
Save us all
Recognize and understand the most important lesson, before you can live, before you can truly love someone else, you need to learn how to love yourself. Save yourself. Save us all.
